Caring and Sharing Night

DON & MILLIE'S on the south side of Cornhusker, one block west of Kennedy Freeway will be hosting a "Caring and Sharing" night to benefit the Chieftain Band. Just visit between 5:00 and 9:00 PM, Friday, May 9, 2008 and tell them you're with the Bellevue East Chieftain Band when you order. Then, drop your receipt in the fishbowl on the counter. Don & Millie's will graciously donate 20% of all food and drink receipts to the Bellevue East Band.

Be sure to tell all your friends to come and enjoy some good food and help out the band. Remember, the event will only be held between 5:00 and 9:00 PM. Thanks for all your support and enjoy the night out.

Scrip Happenings

Two local groceries stores of note have scrip available for purchase - Baker's and Hy-Vee. Both stores offer scrip at a 5% discount in various denominations. Imagine if 5% of your annual grocery bill was presented to the Bellevue East Band with no extra expense from your pocket. It wouldn't take very long for the band to become nearly self sufficient. Use GoodSearch and Help the Band

Ken and JJ Ramberg at search powerhouse Yahoo.com have developed a new type of search engine intended to provide assistance and support to non-profit and not-for-profit organizations. This new search engine, www.goodsearch.com allows you to perform all of your daily web searches. However, GoodSearch donates 50% of it's advertising revenues to the charitable organization of your choice. There's no hidden cost to you, the searcher, and you get the same great search results you'd get with Yahoo. Based on GoodSearch estimates, an organization the size of the Bellevue East Band could raise between $1,000.00 and $3,000.00 a year just by using their search engine.

This link will take you directly to www.goodsearch.com with the Bellevue East Band Boosters preselected as your charity of choice. If you have cookies enabled in your web browser, this charity selection will be remembered each time you revisit GoodSearch.
