Use GoodSearch and Help Out the Band

Just use one of the links on the Main Menu above - Search the Web and Shop the Web or go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Bellevue East Band Boosters as the charity you want to support. Oh yeah, be sure to spread the word!
Donation Drive Kicks Off
Rather than have students use their valuable time selling pizza, candy, magazines, etc.; each year, the Chieftain Band holds a donation drive. Letters are sent by students to relatives, friends and acquaintances simply asking for donations to the band program. There are several advantages to this:
- Because it is a 501(c)3 program, in most cases donations are 100% tax deductible.
- Unlike sales drives where often as little as 25% of the money raised actually goes to the band, 100% of the donations are used to fund the band programs at Bellevue East.
- Students can focus their attention on learning and rehearsing, not selling.
- Donors don't feel compelled to buy something they can't use or don't really want.
- Donations can be any amount.
If you don't happen to receive a donation letter from a band student, you can still contribute to the effort. Donations can be made online via PayPal using a virtually any method of payment. To donate online, simply click here to jump over to the Donation Page.

Band Notes Now Online
As many of you know, the band boosters produce periodic email updates known as "Band Notes". These are sent to members of the booster organization to keep them up to date on happenings in and around the band. The Band Notes are now available online via the "Main" menu above. Selecting the "Band Notes" link will display the most recent Band Notes newsletter. Previous editions can be reviewed using the Previous and Next links at the top of each Band Notes page. When reviewing earlier editions of the Band Notes archive, keep in mind some of the links may no longer function.
Student Accounts
Student account balances are posted and current as of June 4, 2009. Accounts can be paid with cash or check to by placing the payment in an envelope in the lock box in the old band room. Be sure to indicate the student's name on the envelope when making a payment. Payments may also be made with a credit card using PayPal via the website. To view your student's account balance and/or make a payment, go to the Student Account page.
Student account balances are now over $3,000.00 in the red. If you're a student with a negative balance or the parent/guardian of a student with a negative balance, please make arrangements to get those accounts taken care of.
